Physical Development

Health is Wealth.

The respect and maintenance of our bodies remains central to the practice of Islam as taught by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. For children, this edict does not change. As Minister Farrakhan has taught, “Teenagers have to start building the tissues, blood and bones of their bodies; that is the future of our people…You cannot have a strong child if you are putting poison into your bodies.” No age is too young for our children to begin practicing the principles of extending life - eating to live, physical exercise, and control of one’s body.

They are Biology.

  • Nutritional Science

It is a human right that every human being be provided with an understanding of diet and nutrition. Why should we make our children wait until they have been afflicted with avoidable diseases such as diabetes and obesity. Nearly every student in the University of Islam is enrolled in an original Nutritional Science course built upon the dietary guidelines of How to Eat to Live as given by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Students learn to track and change dietary choices for a long, productive life.

  • Physical Training

Physical Fitness is an essential aspect of the training of children at Muhammad University of Islam. Much more than a “Physical Education” class traditionally offer, at MUI, each student is personally challenged to compete; to increase surpass their previous accomplishment; to challenge their mind to be stronger than their body. True fitness is a life approach that is best developed in childhood.

  • The Fighting Arts

Every MUI student has martial arts as part of their physical fitness and mental strengthening. Martial Arts Courses are taught by experts associated with the long-last Black Karate Federation. Although students receive training in Kemp as their primary striking art, every student learns a Mixed Martial Art Approach - incorporating ground and striking arts together. Our students have won multiple trophy’s and award in local Martial Arts Tournaments.
